Brooklyn Toile
Mike Diamond of the Beastie Boys decided he wanted a Brooklyn inspired toile wallpaper that would line the walls of his BK brownstone. The vision was to pay tribute to all things Brooklyn in a way that would appear to be a traditional French Country Toile, but when you step to it the pattern reveals elements and vignettes that make up the truth about the borough. Mike approached Vincent J. Ficarra and Adela Qersaqi of Revolver New York to help execute his vision artistically and Flavor Paper to produce the design as wallpaper.
Brooklyn Toile captures the King’s borough from Coney Island to Hasidic Jews to the greatest rapper of all time to our own Boerum Hill. Daily life in the BK dealing with subways, pigeons, stroller moms, and b-boys makin’ the freak freak is all up in there. Like Sam the butcher bringing Alice the meat – go on and get some!!!
This Quicky Sticky take on our fan favorite EZ Papes version rolls a little differently...it is digitally printed on an eco-friendly, slightly textured, removable and repositionable adhesive-backed ground that is already trimmed for ease of installation. Each kit contains two 24” wide and 10'4" long rolls (A+B). So, pour a drink. Throw on some tunes. Peel it. Stick it. Love it! Move it?
