Snake Bit
Evan Raney’s Snake Bit is an intricate carcass design conceived on a road trip through the deserts of Arizona and New Mexico where animal skeletal remains are common. The bone imagery pairs with decorative elements of the American West such as bits used to rein horses, snaking down and around in a repeating pattern. This effect creates an ornately woven tapestry of richly developed patterns that become more and more intricate as the eye zooms in on each piece and out to view the whole.
