Brooklyn Toile - EZ · Flavor Paper

Mike Diamond of the Beastie Boys decided he wanted a Brooklyn inspired toile wallpaper that would line the walls of his BK brownstone. The vision was to pay tribute to all things Brooklyn in a way that would appear to be a traditional French Country Toile, but when you step to it the pattern reveals elements and vignettes that make up the truth about the borough. Mike approached Vincent J. Ficarra and Adela Qersaqi of Revolver New York to help execute his vision artistically and Flavor Paper to produce the design as wallpaper.

Brooklyn Toile captures the King’s borough from Coney Island to Hasidic Jews to the greatest rapper of all time to our own Boerum Hill. Daily life in the BK dealing with subways, pigeons, stroller moms, and b-boys makin’ the freak freak is all up in there. Like Sam the butcher bringing Alice the meat – go on and get some!!!

Brooklyn Toile is a pre-pasted, water-activated EZ Papes wallpaper, meaning it’s an easy up and easy down design that’s perfect for homeowners, renters, and commitment-phobes. Each package comes with 24” wide x 10.33’ long A and B drops, which allows for a 48” wide repeat. It's also available printed on our version of classic peel-and-stick paper, which we call Quicky Sticky - i.e. a removable and repositionable adhesive-backed material that is slightly textured for a luxe look and feel. What's more: if you’re looking for something more durable – say Type II silky canvas textured vinyl – just hit us up for a made to order option.

Quantity

Estimated Quantity accounts for a design's repeat and match, as well as the wall dimensions you enter. That said, we recommend a professional installer to provide you with exact quantities required for your job and as such Flavor Paper is not liable for incorrect quantities. Our Hand screened wall papers come untrimmed. We print and package in triple rolls [45' x 27"] whenever possible to minimize waste during installation. However, occasionally due to our high quality standards, your order may come packaged as singles, doubles or triples. If you require a triple roll due to the height of your wall, please contact us to confirm this is possible.
