Studio Visit with House Beautiful
Flavor Lair
June 2, 2021
Damn does it feel good to be around humans again, especially those that always bring the fun and happen to dig what we do! Big love to our buddy / cinematographer Brad Holland and the House Beautiful krewe for their continued support, and for stopping by The Lair the other day to talk shop and capture how we put the Flavor into our Andy Warhol Flowers wallpaper for the magazine’s ‘Beautiful Things’ series. From our roots to a rundown of our design and screen-printing processes, it’s all up in the mix and we hope you enjoy this sweet look into our wild world. Cheers, HB!!
P.S. Flowers is inspired by Warhol’s original 1964 silkscreen based on a photograph of Hibiscus. In addition to the Miami Spice colorway we cooked up for the shoot, the paper is available in Carolina, Golden Shower and Suave. All four have a metallic edge. Miami Spice sparkles with a Diamond Dust-esque glitter; Golden Shower is a constantly varying blend print with a toner spray added so no two versions will ever be exactly the same. If you have other color combos in mind, just give us a shout and we can customize a vibe to suit your taste.
